| Wow -- tomorrow Katie Graduates....a small thing to some, but a really big thing to me. The last one, the last child to graduate, the one with the least pictures, the one with the high aspirations to go to africa and learn about who knows what, the one that used to walk all by herself two blocks over to Jessie's house, just because she by God wanted to.
off to college, probably 10 more years of loan payments and quiet houses now. Charlie moved out too, today, to a house in Kent for the summer. They saw the light and lowered his rent a bit, so he can actually almost afford it now. Two jobs this summer (go, Charlie) and then back to Hiram. We might see him once or twice.
Kim off with Andy now, all new worlds to conquer , all by herself.

The world is not always a nice place, my children. Lots of people out there don't want to give you very much, and lots of other people want to take some for themselves off your meager plates. Just do your best, be honest at all times to yourself and others, and keep on getting up each morning with a renewed sense of spirit and optimism. The most important thing in life is your family, old and new both. Cling to them with all your strength and heart. They will save you during the really rough times. The good news is that it really is worth it, in the end. It ain't so bad after all. Try new things, fail at a few things, try more new things. Just keep your family and the people who love you close.
